Semi-trailers are towed by a tractor unit and form an articulated vehicle limited to 16.50 metres in length and a 44-ton GCWR; the maximum authorized weight for the semi-trailer is thus 38 tons. They can take up to 33 pallets on 1 level (66 on 2 levels), making them ideal for long-distance transport from industrial centres to logistics centres. They also come into their own when transporting large quantities (to hypermarkets, institutional, fast or communal food centres, etc.).
